So tonight I am going to bbq some sausages - then realised I have not cleaned the bbq for some time - so (at minus 15C) got the gloves, the scrubbers, etc. Now our "new" (last spring) bbq is very easy to clean - the grills and heat deflectors lift out easily, into the kitchen sink, an SOS pad (Brillo for you brits) and all is well.
But then I took out the drip pan - talk about YECHHHHHHH...congealed and frozen fat and unidentified drippings... had to soak it in hot water, and (looking away) disposed of the remains in the garbage container...
And now all is clean until the next bout - tonight - with the sausages.
Will be bbqing on the back deck at -15C.
What fun.
