In August while walking dogs with our neighbour I was knocked down by a couple of exhuberent Newfoundlands. Result - a severely dislocated right ankle with bone fractures - now have three pins in the ankle. It is times like this that you find out that your really do have great friends who have come forward with offers of trips to the hospital, and to where I teach part time starting this week.
It is (maybe) unfortunate that we did not photgraph the ankle at the time of injury, but some might have found that really disturbing - a foot at right angles to the leg...
Anyway, here is the present cast (removeable) that is on until around September 20th or so...
Possibly the only positive factor coming out of this is an increase in upper body strength as I can only use a walker and crutches (no weight bearing for this leg until the above September time-table)...
