So today the cast came off, the surgeon gave me leave to start weight bearing on the offending ankle. So to all - my wife and all my friends who helped with sympathy, car transport, and the rest - a HUGE thankyou. It is only when you really need help that you realise who there is out there. Even my students at SAIT came forward to help in the classroom - raising and lowering the projection screen, erasing the white board (that goes back a long way to grade school - remember hating the kid who got the teacr's ok to use the eraser???)
Anyway, can now walk (albeit with a cane and a limp), and DRIVE--YEAHHHH...
